Waiting on the world to change

Or put differently: waiting on mount Cook to dry, which seems to be equally hard to do.

It is arguably the highlight of any visit to New Zealand and as such you do hope to have the best possible weather to view the country’s highest peak.

So, when your camp site in Mt Cook village advises you not to come due to everything being wet to the bone, you don’t feel you’re off to the best start..

However, as fortune favors the bold, we decided from our camp site in Twizel (yes that is a real name) to book our scenic flight with alpine landing nonetheless.
