After a short train ride, during which we first encountered the beautiful ‘wettus Vietnameticus’ -easily recognized by their multicolored ponchos- we quickly realized we had no idea why on earth we were in Ninh Binh. There were many like-colored people though, so something was probably worth our attention..

Ik ga op reis en ik neem mee: 17 leerlingen. Most people would not expect the job description of a teacher to read ‘international travel involved’, but in my case it’s the truth. Before Lex met me in Hanoi, I spent a week in the capital of the Sichuan province of China: Chengdu.
